Preface

Breast in women has long been an organ of the women’s identity, and for every woman the health of that organ is necessary to preserve that identity and beauty of women. In addition, it has responsibility as an organ of the lactation in human being and in fact the nursing of the human, there is an emotional and philosophical view of it, and for the same reason, women have a special interest in this organ.
Breasts, like other organs of the body, undergoing changes and certain diseases, whose timely diagnosis and treatment will definitely play a significant role in overall human health and the preservation of femininity.

Considering that there is no specific clinic in the West Azerbaijan province which is solely and specifically focuses on various aspects of diagnosis, treatment and cosmetic problems in the breast, is not accessible and since the expansion of human civilization, unfortunately, the diseases of this organ are also increasing, there was a need to establish a center specifically dedicated to this organ and by using the latest scientific and international sources and references, the stages of diagnosis, treatment, screening, and also the beauty issues of this organ must present as a “Integrated Protocol” to all women in this province.

So, for the first time, Farda international hospital educational healthcare center and Milad Noor limited surgical center has opened such a center for dear citizens that is also known as the breast clinic which is ready to provide services to honorable peoples.

All of these facilities, based on the most important part of this system, which is expert physician and surgeons familiar with the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases and problems in the breast, is capable do all of breast and therapeutic programs, both in terms of screening and diagnostic, therapeutic and beauty programs and breast reconstruction surgeries as a protocol in this center, so there is no need to refer patients to other centers and other cities.

Screening Programs

These programs, which are being carried out alternatively and mandatory for all women in all developed countries, and with the goal of preventing or early detection the most important disease of this organ which is named “Breast Cancer” done at this center and all the women can refer to this center and after creating an electronic record, they can join in screening programs that include periodic checkups, tests, photographs and etc. and by this way the unwanted breast diseases are prevented.

Diagnostic programs

These programs begin with a visit of breast expert physician and after filing the case, the following tasks can be done if necessary:

1. Blood tests: including routine tests and specific tests including tumor markers and genetic analysis of patients.

2. Imaging methods: including breast and armpit sonography and, if necessary, Sonography Guided Biopsy and also Mammography and if necessary Mammography Guided Biopsy can be done.
3. Breast biopsy: Mostly performed as an outpatient procedure and out of the operating room, with the least stress, breast sampling, including:
   i Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA)
   Core Needle Biopsy
   And in special cases, if the above-mentioned methods are not possible, biopsy will be done in the operating room.

4. Pathologic diagnosis: Biopsy samples will be interpreted through the pathology department, which may be in the operating room and during surgery, so called ‘Frozen Section’ or as a permanent sample that based on these pathologic diagnosis physicians will make the decision to do the necessary medical treatment.
5. surgical procedures: It is possible to perform all surgical procedures for benign and malignant diseases of the breast, which includes invasive (radical surgery) or non-radical surgeries and conservation surgery, and also less invasive surgery using Sentinel Node Dissection, which is the best way in preventing unnecessary armpit dissection and preventing arm edema in the years after the surgery.

6. Reconstruction Surgery: Includes breast reconstruction surgery after cancer surgery, which plays an important role in creating morale in patients and life expectancy.
7. Cosmetic surgeries: These surgeries include:
   i Reduction Mammoplasty
   ii. Augmentation Mammoplasty
   which can be done by using prosthesis or liposuction.
